Sebastopol is home to a myriad of artists and artisans and their creations are displayed at the many local art galleries and festivals. On the first Thursday of every month, ARTwalk comes to downtown Sebastopol with sidewalk exhibits giving locals and visitors the opportunity to visit artists in their studios.

Live music can be heard at many local cafés and pubs and in the town plaza and, nearby, the annual Russian Jazz and Celtic Festivals draw crowds from far beyond Northern California.

Sebastopol's great climate lends itself well to a variety of outdoor activities and biking and hiking trails abound. At nearby Bodega Bay, Russian River and Lake Sonoma water sports like fishing, boating, canoeing and kayaking provide an ever popular destination.

For wine lovers, many wineries are open year-round and wine tastings and tours are very popular. Food, art, and entertainment are frequently paired with wine to make for a truly great time at special events and festivals held on occasion, at several of the wineries.
